Four Fall Looks from A Piece of Toast

Jacket season is officially here, so we've turned to sisters Sally and Molly, behind the blog A Piece of Toast, to provide us with cold weather style inspiration.

To celebrate the season of boots, coats and layering, we chatted with the Dallas based duo to learn more about their effortlessly chic personal style, favorite fall activities and rainy day fashion advice.

Read our Q&A with Sally and Molly below. To see more, visit A Piece of Toast here and here.

Tell us about your Hunter style.

Molly - Equestrian chic. I love rain boots that look like riding boots and can be worn even when it's not rainy or raining!

Sally - Military chic or casual traditional. My Tall Hunter boots are black gloss and I tend to pair them with more structured elements. My Short Hunter boots are navy and look great with chic sweatshirts.

What do you love most about fall?

M - My birthday (October 21st)! And Thanksgiving because it means a visit home to Kansas City.

S - The cooler weather - being able to layer again and wear boots is so exciting.

What fall activities do you look forward to each season in Dallas?

M - I loving being able to sit al fresco at my favorite restaurants...believe it or not, it's way too hot to do that any other time of year! Sitting outside with a glass of wine and crisp weather is amazing.

S - Halloween! I'm a teacher so being able to celebrate such a fun holiday with the kindergarden class I'm in is hilarious fun.

What is your go-to look for a rainy day?

M – Rain boots and skinny jeans topped off with a cozy, oversized sweater.

S - Rain boots (short or tall) and jeans with lots of layers and a raincoat – I'm always cold, and rainy weather makes me want to bundle up!

What is your advice to staying stylish when it's raining?

M - Get good rain boots that will last for many seasons/years (i.e.: Hunter boots!).

S - Invest in classic and durable boots that can work with jeans or dresses—when you buy a nice pair that goes with pretty much everything, you'll always look and feel good.

What is your favorite rainy day movie?

M - I don't think I could pick a favorite but probably a romantic classic like The Notebook (I know, I am the cheesiest).

S - If it were raining right now I would want to watch Silver Linings Playbook. Or Dirty Dancing.

Molly is wearing our Sandhurst Carlyle boots in black and Modern Rain Slicker in red. Sally is wearing our Original Short boots in navy and Hunter Check Down Jacket in olive.
