In February, Hunter Original launched its highly anticipated debut collection at London Fashion Week under the new creative direction of Alasdhair Willis.

From researching and sourcing new fabrics to planning and building the elaborate set, all these elements came together to create a pivotal moment in Hunter's 158 year history.

Ambika P3 Gallery, a vast industrial space below London's University of Westminster, played host to a runway filled with water which models strode through wearing the new Hunter Original autumn/winter 2014 collection.

Fusing the brand’s spirit of exploration and adventure with its rich heritage, the Hunter Original collection was inspired by deep-sea and space exploration, while the accessories and knitwear collections featured the moustache design detail from the iconic Original boot. Also launched at the show was the new icon, the Original Tall High Heel, a reworking of the Original Tall boot, made to combine the practicalities of waterproof footwear with a new, feminine design.

A styling team of over 100 ensured that each model was given the new Hunter Original look - make-up was understated, highlighting and accentuating their natural features, while hair was wetted and put back into loose ponytails.

Front row guests included Anna Wintour, Laura Mvula, Mark Ronson and Katy B, who looked on at the show as model-of-the-moment Suki Waterhouse walked the runway and illusionist Dynamo closed the show with a magical performance.
