As part of three days of exclusive events, and in celebration of Hunter’s Scottish heritage, the grand opening of the store saw two acclaimed bagpipers form a guard of honour at the entrance whilst performing traditional Scottish music. They wore the classic men’s Balmoral Wellington Boot.
Crowds gathered on the street to watch as the event unfolded, with the first 50 visitors, all wearing Hunter foil blankets, receiving a Hunter Ginza tote bag and exclusive Hunter product.
Hunter’s Creative Director, Alasdhair Willis, and CEO, Vincent Wauters, hosted a reception party to celebrate the opening of the flagship store. They were joined by a host of Tokyo’s iconic names.
First debuted at the Hunter Original show at London Fashion Week, Kozue Akimoto wore the Original Festival Bomber Jacket and the Original High Heel Boots. DJ Yuya Nara performed a set in the Original 3 Layer Blouson and models Taiki and Noah were spotted in the Original Rubber Raincoat and the Original Nylon Parka.
Under the creative direction of Alasdhair Willis, the store presents footwear, outerwear and accessories from the Hunter Original and Hunter Field collections.
